In some cases, yes. Depending on your eligibility, your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) provider may reimburse you for your ClassPass membership.
Here's how to get started:
1. Check your eligibility—Every HSA/FSA provider is different, some cover gym memberships or fitness classes and some don't. Many provide coverage if you submit a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from your healthcare provider. For detailed information on your specific coverage or eligibility requirements, contact your HSA/FSA provider.
2. Request a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN)—If your HSA/FSA provider requires an LMN, schedule an appointment with your doctor or licensed provider and ask for a letter than outlines:
- Your medical condition
- The recommendation for exercise or wellness services
- How ClassPass supports your treatment plan
3. Collect your ClassPass receipts—If your HSA/FSA covers your ClassPass membership, they will need proof of payment to reimburse you. If your HSA/FSA requires an LMN, ensure the proof of payment receipt date is after your LMN approval date. To get a copy of your ClassPass receipts, follow these steps:
- Log in at classpass.com
- Click your profile photo > Account
- Select > Recent Charges
- Save the receipt as a PDF
4. Submit documents to your HSA/FSA provider—Submit your Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) and receipt of your monthly membership charge through your HSA/FSA provider's reimbursement portal or app. Please do not submit the Letter of Medical Necessity to ClassPass.
