Why does pay-as-you-go livestream availability within the iOS app keep changing?
Earlier this year, Apple informed us that their App Store guidelines limit our ability to offer pay-as-you-go livestream classes and digital experiences within the iOS app without changing our business model.
After further discussions with Apple, we are temporarily able to offer pay-as-you-go livestream content within iOS again. As of July 31, 2020, we have re-enabled this functionality and you can access pay-as-you-go livestream classes from the iOS app, as well as on ClassPass.com from your mobile browser or desktop.
We sincerely apologize for any confusion, and hope this update will help streamline the livestream booking and class experience.
How do I attend a livestream class?
Once you find a livestream option that works for you, simply click the ‘Reserve’ and ‘Confirm reservation’ buttons on the class page. The link to access your virtual class will be sent to you by email 20 minutes prior to class, or you can find the link in your ‘Upcoming tab’ and viewing your reservation. Didn’t receive your link? Reach out to our Customer Experience team.
Can I book livestream classes while my account is paused?
Yes! Even while your account is paused, you can book a free livestream class or session from the ClassPass website or app. To book a livestream class with credits, please book from the ClassPass website or from your Android device. You can book livestream with credits by using your rollover credits, buying more credits or resuming your standard membership.
Why are livestream classes listed at my favorite studio but unavailable to book?
Our team spends time vetting the technology required for livestream classes to ensure you have a seamless workout experience. If a livestream class you are currently trying to book is not accessible, check back in a day or so.
Are classes listed in my time zone or the time zone of the studio?
Livestream classes on your mobile device are listed in your timezone to make search and booking simple. On web, livestream classes are shown in their local timezone, with a timezone abbreviation listed for reference if the timezone is different than your local timezone.
I'm trying to book a class but it says it's full. What's going on?
Certain classes may have a limited number of spots available. While livestream classes are virtual, our studio partners want to make sure they are able to monitor those in class and provide assistance or instruction as best they can, even on the other side of the screen.
Can I book a class in any location?
Yes! You can book in any location, all over the world. To increase your search area or change your location, navigate to the search page and adjust the location accordingly.
Why do I need to use credits to book a livestream class?
Our partners are working hard to provide high-quality livestream experiences, and by booking these classes with your credits, you can support them in return. Through August 1, 100% of purchase prices from livestream classes will go directly to our partners.
